In case you missed, it last week ARTnews reported the decade long collaboration between KAWS and the Perrortin Gallery has ended. Seemingly on good terms as the Perrortin released a statement saying they wish the best for their artist friend in his future endeavors. “We are very proud of the work we did with KAWS over these 11 years of our collaboration. Considering all the pressure, this collaboration has come to an end. In any case, we will be satisfied if his career continues to develop in a good way and we wish him all the very best moving forward.” says the gallery’s founder, Emmanuel Perrotin.
KAWS new reps look to be the Skarstedt gallery, with two locations in New York and London.
KAWS will be showing his first full-career exhibition in his hometown at the Brooklyn Museum in 2021.
